On September 29, 2025, members of Foundation Auxiliator had the pleasure of participating in the Mazovian Assembly of Persons with Disabilities. The event was organized by the Mazovian Center for Social Policy and took place at the Novotel Centrum Hotel in Warsaw. The main theme of this year’s edition was the non-financial benefits of employing persons with disabilities.

During the event, four discussion panels were held, featuring representatives of non-governmental organizations, labor market experts, HR practitioners, employers of persons with disabilities, as well as persons with disabilities themselves.

The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship, Adam Struzik.

The discussions highlighted the following key ideas and conclusions:

1. Employment as a value, not just a cost
   Many speakers emphasized that employing persons with disabilities should not be seen as an act of charity, but rather as an investment in diversity, loyalty, innovation, and team engagement.
2. Transparency and dialogue as the foundation of cooperation
   The openness of employers in communicating challenges and the readiness of persons with disabilities to express their needs were identified as the basis for effective collaboration. It was stressed that there are tools and strategies available to help overcome barriers.
3. The power of good examples
   Real-life stories of organizations that implemented inclusive employment practices were strongly highlighted. They demonstrated that a change in mindset is possible and that both sides can benefit significantly.
4. The role of internal support systems within organizations
   Topics such as mentoring and HR policies tailored to the needs of persons with disabilities were widely discussed as crucial areas where organizations can build strength and cohesion.

The Assembly gathered a full room of participants, confirming the great interest in the subject of employing persons with disabilities. Between the panels, lively conversations took place, along with exchanges of contacts and experiences.

For many participants, the conference was an opportunity for inspiration, renewed motivation for action, and discovering concrete tools and examples that can be implemented within their own organizations.
